E ngland is made up of fertile plains and plains with low
hills. The most rugged, consisting of mountains, moors and hills lie north and west. The Lake District (Cumbria)
and the northwestern part of the country are separated from the Yorkshire Dales and Yorkshire Dales.
In the northeastern part of the country are the Pennine hills, which are also called "the
backbone of England." The eastern part of the country, particularly East Anglia, the area is more flat. The coast
is very diverse and offers great beaches and spectacular cliffs.
The language is English. The variety of regional dialects ago that English is a language of astonishing diversity
(words whose use is outdated in the Southeast are used normally in the rest of the country). In larger cities,
particularly London, there are communities that do not use English as their first language.
